The City of Belleville congratulates Mr. Eun-ho Ha on being elected as the next mayor of Gunpo, South Korea.
In 1996 the City of Belleville and Gunpo, South Korea signed a twinning agreement. Since that time they have enjoyed a successful business exchange relationship which has included meetings and visits with various businesses, manufacturers and industries in both cities, in addition to showcasing each city and their surrounding areas.
“City Council and I look forward to meeting with and developing a relationship with Mr. Eun-ho Ha,” said Mayor Mitch Panciuk. “In 2019 I was pleased to be able to visit Gunpo with a group of our City Councillors and local business people. We were made to feel so welcome by Mayor Han, who was in that role at that time, and we look forward to continuing to build upon this positive partnership with the new Mayor Elect.”
The inauguration will be held on July 1.
