Nineteen-year-old Connor Bazilsky of the Victory Barbell Club has won gold at the Canadian Junior Weightlifting Championships in La Prairie Quebec.
Bazilsky snatched 83kg (183lbs) Clean and Jerk 110kg (242lbs) totalling 193kg (425lbs) to clinch gold in the 61kg division.
It’s the second gold medal for Bazilsky at the national junior championships. The other came in 2019.
The Victory Barbell Club is located in Ameliasburg.
