Bancroft OPP have arrested and charged one person from Tweed following a domestic incident.
On Sunday, officers responded to the report of a break and enter that occurred at a home in Bancroft.
An investigation revealed that previous domestic incidents had occurred.
A 21-year-old resident of Tweed has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:
- Assault – two counts
- Forcible confinement – two counts
- Utter threats – two counts
- Criminal harassment – two counts
The accused was held pending a bail hearing in Belleville and remains in custody.
The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
