Belleville police responded to 241 calls for service over a 72-hour period from 5 a.m. on May 27, 2022 to 5 a.m. on May 30, 2022.
Warrants
On May 27, 2022 at 6:25 p.m., Belleville police attended a Bell Boulevard business for a report of a theft. A physical description of a female suspect was provided. A short time later, a female matching the description was located in the parking lot of a North Front Street business. The female, identified as 43-year-old Jennifer O’Hara, was wanted by Belleville police on two outstanding arrest warrants for fail to attend court, fail to attend prints and fail to comply with a probation order. As a result, O’Hara was arrested and later released with a court date of June 16.
On May 27 at 10 p.m., Belleville police attended a Victoria Avenue address for an assist Emergency Services call. A check of the female involved with the call revealed that she was currently wanted by Belleville police on two separate warrants for fail to comply with a summons and assault. A check of the female also revealed that she was presently on release conditions to not communicate with the male she was with or attend the residence she was at. As a result, the 26-year-old female was arrested for the warrants and charged with two counts of failing to comply with her release conditions. She was later released with a court date of June 20. As this is a domestic-related incident, the name of the female is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
Utter threats/Breach of Release Conditions
On May 27, 2022 at 5:46 p.m., Belleville police were called to a Dundas Street West business for a police assist request. The caller stated that an intoxicated male had left the business and carried an infant child eastbound on Dundas Street West. It was also reported that the male had threatened two females before departing. Further investigation into this incident revealed that the male and female involved were both on release conditions not to communicate with each other. As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old Belleville male was charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause bodily harm and one count of failing to comply with a release order. The male was later released with a court date of June 27. Also, a 25-year-old Belleville female was charged with one count of fail to comply with an undertaking and later released with a court date of June 20. As this is a domestic related incident, the names of the accused are not being released.
Impaired Operation
On May 28, 2022 at 3:30 a.m., Belleville police observed a vehicle driving suspiciously and conducted a vehicle stop. As a result of observations made during the vehicle stop, the driver was arrested for impaired operation of a vehicle by a drug. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the Belleville Police Service, where a breathalyzer was conducted. Due to the observations made by the officer and the results of the breathalyzer, 20-year-old Aidyn Goulah-Little of Frankford was charged with impaired operation and impaired over 80 mgs. Goulah-Little was later released with a court date of June 30.
