The Mayor’s Week of the Arts kicked off Wednesday with an opening reception at the John M. Parrott Gallery.
Events this week include a Plein Air Festival, the opening night of River & Main Theatre Company’s production of Scenes from a Park and an event featuring author Linwood Barclay.
Speaking about the event on the Lorne Brooker Show Wednesday, Belleville Mayor Mitch Panciuk says there is a free outdoor concert starting at 6:30 Friday night at the Lions Pavilion at West Zwick’s Park.
“And it’s featuring the Quinte Symphony and our very, very good friends, the Impish Grins. So you’ll see some classical music and some contemporary that the Quinte Symphony will play. And then you’re gonna see some great rock and roll and contemporary from the Impish Grins. Friday’s also the launch of Pop-Ups on the Bay, 2022.”
The mayor suggests bringing your own lawn chair to the concert.
