Habitat for Humanity Hastings-Prince Edward has another new property.
Belleville Council unanimously agreed on Tuesday to sell the property at 633 Sidney Street to the not-for-profit organization for $2.
The property was purchased by the city in 2019 for $300,000 as a result of the Bell Boulevard/Sidney Street Intersection Improvement project.
The subject parcel is approximately 26.8 metres long and 2.25 metres wide.
Staff noted in their report that donating this piece of land helps provide for a variety of housing forms to reflect changing demographics and the need for affordability in Belleville.
