The Belleville Senators will be in the Calder Cup playoffs for the first time.
Logan Shaw scored twice including the winner as the B-Sens rallied to beat the Toronto Marlies 4-3.
After scoring his first two NHL goals Saturday night Mark Kastelic returned to Belleville’s lineup yesterday and scored his 14th. Viktor Lodin added his fifth in just his ninth game in the AHL.
Belleville is in 4th place in the AHL North with one game left. If the season ended today (Monday) they would have home ice advantage in a preliminary best of three series.
They could still finish as high as third which would mean a first round bye.
Belleville hosts the Marlies to close out the regular season on Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the CAA Arena. In the meantime Toronto and Laval had three games remaining which will also impact the final standings.
