On April20, 2022 at 5:24 p.m., Belleville police were called to a west end residence for a report of a domestic dispute. The attending officers spoke to both parties and the male agreed to leave the residence for the night. As the police were departing, the male made an utterance that caused police concern for his well-being. Given his level of intoxication and his utterance, he was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place for his own safety. The 46-year-old Belleville man was later released to the care of another family member as police were satisfied he would be safe and cared for.
