The COVID-19 pandemic continues to keep people off Belleville Transit buses.
Operations Manager Paul Buck told the Transit Advisory Committee Wednesday that while the number
of riders has steadily increased month by month since last year there is still a long way to go before they catch up to the numbers reached before the pandemic started.

“We are predicting that by September we will be back to our 100% and hopefully over our pre-covid ridership.”
Last month there were just over 64,000 riders on Belleville Transit buses while in the pre-pandemic month of March 2019 there were over 106,000.
