The Laval Rocket scored once on the power play, once short handed and once into an empty net as they overcame a 1-0 second period deficit and beat the Belleville Senators 5-1 at the CAA Arena.
B-Sens coach Troy Mann:
Laval took the game over in the second period when they scored three unanswered goals then added salt in the wound with a short handed goal in the third followed by one into an empty net. Mann says Belleville’s special teams were not good.
Belleville was 0 for 6 with the man advantage while Laval was 1 for 2.
Laval outshot the B-Sens 29-21.
The loss drops the Senators into sixth place in the tight North Division standings. They entertain the Hartford Wolf Pack (New York Rangers) Wednesday night at 7:05 at the CAA Arena.
