It’s official.
Forty five bus drivers and other employees working for Belleville Transit have accepted a new contract.
The members of Unifor Local 1839 ratified the contract in a vote yesterday.
If approved by city council, the workers would receive a 7.1% wage increase over the lifetime of the four-year contract.
They would also receive another $200 for vision coverage.
The union had been without a contract since March 31, 2021.
