Napanee council has rejected a rezoning application for an asphalt plant to be built near County Road 2 and Palace Road.
According to Global News, Napanee municipal staff had recommended that the application by R.W. Tomlinson Ltd. be accepted however council voted 7 – 0 against the recommendation.
The company now has 20 days to appeal council’s decision to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal.
An R.W. Tomlinson spokesperson said the company has not made a decision yet on whether an appeal will be made.
