The Trenton Golden Hawks closed out their OJHL regular season with a 3-2 win over the Cougars in Cobourg last night.
The G-Hawks rallied from a 2-0 deficit with Devin Mauro scoring the winner at 1:29 of the third period.
Dalton Bancroft added his 37th goal and an assist to finish the season with 92 points, tying him for the league lead.
His 92 points also tied Brady Wiffen for most points by a G-Hawk in a season. (2014-15)
Aaron Jamieson rounded out the scoring for Trenton.
Trenton finishes second in the East Division with 74 points, one point behind Wellington.
They open their best of three South-East Conference quarter final series against the Haliburton County Huskies Sunday afternoon at 4:30 at the Trenton Community Gardens.
Game 2 will be played April 13 in Minden. Game 3 if necessary will be in Trenton on April 14.
Dates for the Wellington-Cobourg series have not been announced yet.
