The number of active COVID-19 cases in Hastings Prince Edward is climbing again.
The Public Health Unit is also reporting three new deaths Wednesday.
This brings the number of COVID-19 deaths in the two counties since the start of the pandemic to 48.
There are 116 new high-risk cases and a total of 251 active high-risk cases.
Seventeen people are in hospital and two of those are in the Intensive Care Unit.
The number of outbreaks has also increased to 11.
Eighty-three per cent of the eligible population aged five and up is fully vaccinated against the virus and 54 per cent of people eligible for a booster shot have received it.
In Northumberland today, there are 29 new cases according to the Haliburton, Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit. There are 60 total active cases in that region.
