Former Belleville Bulls left winger Carter Sandlak made his NHL debut last night (March 22) as a referee.
Sandlak was in Seattle as a member of the officiating crew handling the game between the Kraken and the Arizona Coyotes.
Sandlak was with the Bulls from 2010 to 2013.
Following his retirement as a player in 2018 he became an official in the ECHL. He has been an AHL referee for three years including many assignments at Belleville Senators games.
Sandlak’s father Jim spent 11 seasons in the NHL with Vancouver and Hartford.
