Dalton Bancroft scored a hattrick to lead the Trenton Golden Hawks to a 5-2 victory over the rival Wellington Dukes.
With the win the G-Hawks tie the Hasty P Cup series with Wellington at three games each while clinching an OJHL playoff spot.
Aiden MacIntosh and Aaron Jameison added a goal and assist for Trenton. Jaxen Boyer and Emmet Pierce responded for Wellington.
The Golden Hawks lead the East Division with 62 points and hold a game in hand on Wellington. The Dukes have 59 points.
There’s one game left between these teams to decide the Hasty P Cup. It will be played Friday April 1 at Wellington.
Tonight (Monday) the Dukes are in Cobourg.
Pirates take series lead
In Provincial Junior C playoffs, Noah Brant scored two goals and two assists to give the Picton Pirates a 4-1 win over the Frankford Huskies.
Picton leads the best of 7 series 2-1. Game 4 is tonight (Monday) at 8:30 in Frankford.
