It seems renovations will resume at the site of a well-known bar/restaurant in Belleville.
The city’s February building update shows a building permit worth $500,000 has been issued for upgrades to the former Red Lion building and property on Coleman Street.
The pub, to be known as The Local Social House, had been undergoing upgrades under new ownership but work came to a halt and the project has been stalled for over a year.
Meanwhile, 37 building permits were issued in Belleville in February for a total construction value of $3.2 million, down from almost $4.5 million in February of last year.
Over one third of last month’s dollar value came from permits for four new residential units.
