A fraud complaint in Quinte West has resulted in charges against a Belleville man.
On January 29, 2022, Quinte West OPP received a report from a resident who said they gave a deposit to a contractor for renovations, however the work was never completed.
Further investigation revealed that the accused was on court-ordered conditions not to accept a deposit of funds in advance.
On Monday, police arrested 63-year-old Steven Bell, charging him with fraud over $5000 and failure to comply with a release order.
