While much of the city was experiencing power outages Monday, Belleville firefighters were dealing with a house fire in the area of the former Quinte Secondary School.
Shortly after 3 p.m., crews were called out to the fire at 3 Highview Crescent.
Flames were shooting through the roof and there was heavy fire, smoke, and water damage to the house.
There were no serious injuries.
Firefighters finally left the scene around 11:30 p.m. and an investigation into the cause continues.
