Hastings-Lennox & Addington MP Shelby Kramp-Neuman is calling on the Liberal government to reverse a tax hike that will cost Canadian families an average of nearly $700 this year.
Kramp-Neuman, who serves as the Shadow Minister for Seniors, says the increase to required CPP contributions will hurt already struggling Canadians and that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau needs a reality check.
In a press release issued by her office Tuesday, she says she has heard from constituents all over her riding about bills they can’t pay, and the uncertainties their family farms or other businesses are facing.
MPs are set to reconvene in the House of Commons January 31.
