Don’t drive if you don’t absolutely have to. We’re in for a lot of snow and blowing snow today before the storm moves off sometime this evening.

“Our call for today – snowfall much of the time into this evening, that snow will be heavy at times this morning and total accumulations for the event, including what fell last night will end up being between 30 and 45 cm by this evening and again those winds will be blowing and drifting that snow around as well.”
All school buses in the region have been cancelled. Schools with the Hastings Prince Edward public and Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic school boards have been closed. Schools will be open in Northumberland County.
The snow could be mixed with ice pellets at times.
