Tweed-Stirling firefighters will be back at the scene of a fire at a farmhouse in Tweed Saturday to investigate the cause.
Just before 4 p.m. Friday firefighters were called to the blaze at the corner of Old Hungerford Road and Windmill Road in Tweed.
There were no injuries reported and they were there for over four hours battling the fire.
Tweed-Stirling Fire Chief Derrick Little tells Quinte News that though the preliminary reports haven’t yet been completed, the damage estimate is in excess of $500,000 and a total loss on the 140-year-old farm house.
Crews are on scene Saturday morning continuing to put out hot spots.
There is no known cause yet but an investigation continues.
