A 52-year-old man from Greater Napanee is facing charges of attempted murder following an incident on January 1.
Lennox and Addington OPP were called to a home in Greater Napanee that morning after the man had uttered death threats and damaged a vehicle. The man returned later that morning and assaulted a 56-year-old man with a weapon before leaving the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have charged the 52-year-old with attempt to commit murder, aggravated assault, two counts of mischief and uttering threats, possession of a weapon dangerous and failure to comply with an undertaking.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and appeared in court on January 4.
