A Napanee couple have the first baby in the Quinte region for 2022.
Aspyn Ridout was born January 1, 2022 at 1:55 a.m. to 31-year-old Margot and 31-year-old Erik Ridout.
Aspyn was 20 inches, and 8 pounds, 8 ounces, and family is safe and healthy.
Margot Ridout says they had their first daughter at Belleville General Hospital, and decided to have Aspyn there as well.
She says she was a surprise, as the due date was not until January 6, 2022.
