The priority for the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce in the new year will be the same as it was last year, supporting local businesses as they continue to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Chamber Manager Suzanne Andrews says helping business recover has to be the number one focus.
“You know they’re dealing with large debt for many of them, you know there’s numerous shutdowns that they were hit by has really left its mark.”
Andrews says she hopes senior government relies on the Chamber even more than it did last year.
“I think we’ve proven to the government that we’re a great distribution network and we can get things into the hands of small businesses faster and easier than a lot of government agencies.”
Andrews says providing Quinte West businesses with such items as rapid test kits and information on government programs will be as important this year as it was last.
