A woman was injured during a violent assault early Friday on Belleville’s North Front Street.
City police say the woman was walking near Evans Street around 1:30 in the morning when she was assaulted by a man who made away with a handbag and a backpack.
The victim was treated at BGH for minor injuries.
The man is described as white and around 5 feet 5 inches tall.
