New Year’s Eve celebrations are upon us and Belleville police are reminding residents that they will be out looking for impaired drivers.
Thursday, city police conducted a RIDE program between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.
About 400 vehicles were stopped and drivers checked.
No charges were laid.
Meanwhile, Belleville police continue to receive calls about people wandering out on the ice of the Bay of Quinte.
Police warn that the ice is unsafe at this time.
