Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting five new cases of COVID-19 in the area Tuesday as well as three new recoveries, leaving the active total at 15 cases.
Three of the new cases are in unvaccinated people while the remaining two are in fully vaccinated people.
The new cases are spread out across the region with three in Quinte West, one in Belleville and one in Prince Edward County.
Currently there are still no people being treated in hospital for the virus.
There is one active outbreak, declared October 25, at a workplace in Belleville with three cases connected to it.
To date 134,082 people, or 90% of eligible people in HPE, have received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine while 125,401 people, or 84%, have received two doses.
