The 22nd annual 8 Wing Commander’s Golf Tournament took place last month and kicked off the National Defence Workplace Charitable Campaign for the United Way with a strong fundraising effort.
According to 8 Wing Public Affairs, the tournament raised $120,417 on September 10.
The campaign is a fundraising effort undertaken each year from September to December by the National Defence Workplace Charitable Campaign to support federal public servants and retirees in federal workplaces across the country.
Throughout the initiative, public servants and Armed Forces members can support United Way, health partners or any other registered Canadian charity.
In 2020 8 Wing Trenton raised a total of $155,471.14 for United Way HPE.
