The Belleville Police Service responded to 58 calls for service between 5 a.m. on October 26, 2021 and 5 a.m. on October 27, 2021.
Mischief
On October 26, 2021, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Belleville police responded to a mischief at the Wellness Centre that had occurred between 11:20 a.m. and 12:24 p.m. A car window had been smashed, in the east parking lot. The complainant did not notice anything missing. While investigating the mischief, officers were alerted by Wellness Centre staff that two more vehicles, in the N/W parking lot had been damaged prior to police arrival. This time, two purses had been stolen. Surveillance showed a male exit a silver Dodge Avenger (believed to be a model from the 2006 to 2008 year) that was parked between the two vehicles, smash a window on each vehicle and grab a purse from each vehicle. This was the same vehicle from the surveillance footage of the previous incident.
The suspect(s) used the debit/credit cards in the Quinte West area. No identifying features on the vehicle were obtained, only a partial plate of C**72*. The suspect is a white male, wearing a facemask, black in colour with a white design on it. Male was wearing all black clothing with a red marking on the left sleeve, black baseball cap, flip flops and appeared to be wearing a new Toronto Maple Leafs baseball cap.

Liquor Licence Act
On October 26, 2021 at approximately 9:55 p.m., police attended an east end apartment building for a report of a family dispute. A mother and son had an argument which turned physical and her son left the apartment but was located nearby. A 22-year-old Belleville man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and held for his safety and the safety of others. He was later released on a Part I Offence Notice.
