One man is facing multiple charges after an incident Thursday.
Belleville police were called to the west end of the city at approximately 5:30 p.m. for a report of a woman knocking frantically at her neighbour’s door.
Police say the woman had run from her residence after allegedly being assaulted by her male partner.
The man was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault and forcible confinement.
The man is being held for a bail hearing happening on Saturday.
