The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board has been nominated for another award.
The organization is up for an Ontario Tourism Resiliency Award in the Innovation category.
The nomination is for the first phase of the BoQ Marketing Grants program, which was rolled out during fall 2020.
A total of $55,000 went to 25 small businesses for marketing projects connected to tourism.
A member of the Regional Marketing Board Team acted as project lead for every grant, providing guidance, mentorship and education.
Executive Director Dug Stevenson believes the approach helped them achieve a 100% success rate for all projects that have been implemented as a result of the grants.
The grant money came from federal Regional Recovery Relief Funding and local Municipal Accommodation Tax from Belleville and Quinte West.
The Ontario Tourism Resiliency Awards will be handed out October 27.
