A Belleville man is facing domestic assault charges after an incident late Friday night.
Police were called to Tracey Park Drive at approximately 11:30 for reports of a man breaking a vehicle’s window on the street.
Upon investigation police learned that the man was the complainant’s ex-boyfriend and that he had broken the windshield by jumping on it.
Police found and arrested the 30-year-old man for domestic mischief after which they were told the man had assaulted the victim in a previous, unreported incident.
As a result, the man was further charged with weapons dangerous, uttering threats and domestic assault.
He’s being held for a bail hearing on October 2.
