A Belleville woman has been charged after a crash in the northern part of the city early Saturday morning.
Belleville Police were called to the Thurlow area, just after 2:15 a.m., where a car had gone into the ditch.
Investigators say the driver seemed to be drunk and was taken back to the BPS headquarters where she gave a breath sample, but only blew in the warn range, not over the legal limit.
The 22-year-old, whose name wasn’t released, was charged with careless driving, failing to provide a driver’s licence and being a novice driver with a blood/alcohol content over 0 milligrams.
Her licence was also suspended for three days and she was released on those provincial offence notices.
