The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has reported a trio of significant lotto wins in our area.
Forty-eight-year-old John Gardiner of Foxboro won $75,000 on the Instant Hidden Gems game and told OLG he’s still in shock and plans to invest his winnings.
He bought his winning ticket at Village Variety and Gas Bar in Shannonville.
Meanwhile in Colborne, 64-year-old Ruth Ford won $50,000 playing Instant Crossword and is planning to share her winnings with her two step-daughters and put the rest into savings.
She bought her winning ticket at Mac’s on Elizabeth Street in Brighton.
And just to our east, a group of 11 co-workers from Kingston is splitting $500,000 after splitting a Maxmillions draw with another winning ticket, in the June 8 Lotto Max draw.
That group includes Michael Nickerson of Napanee, along with five people from Kingston, three people from Odessa, one person from Hartington and one person from Brockville.
