Prince Edward OPP have charged a trio of drivers with various offences over the past week or so.
The first charge was laid against a 43-year-old from Prince Edward County, following a crash on County Road 10, around 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 3.
Investigators say one person had to be taken to hospital and the accused was eventually charged with impaired driving and careless driving.
Then, on Saturday September 4, officers responded to a report of a possible impaired driver near the Sandbanks.
Police tracked down the vehicle and ended up charging the driver with impaired driving, driving without a licence, having open alcohol in the car and having cannabis readily available.
Both drivers had their licences suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for a week, with future court dates scheduled.
A 28-year-old driver from Quebec was also charged with careless driving, after a report of a possible impaired driver on County Road 23, this past Tuesday.
Along with the careless charge, the driver also had their licence suspended for three days, after blowing a “warn” on a roadside breath test.
