Hastings Prince Edward Public Health has updated its COVID-19 dashboard today, which is showing six new cases and two recoveries, for a total of 37 active.
All six of the new cases were found in unvaccinated individuals, with five transmitted through close contact and one case connected to local spread.
Four of the new cases were found in Belleville, and one each in Quinte West and Prince Edward County.
There are no patients currently in hospital due to COVID-19, with three outbreaks still going on in the region.
As far as vaccinations go, 83% of the HPE population aged 12 and up has had one at least one shot, with 74% fully vaccinated.
The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge Health Unit is reporting no new cases in Northumberland today and three active.
