Progress is being made on improving emergency services in part of Hastings County.
Thursday Hastings County Council approved Stirling-Rawdon as a location for another paramedic base.
The county will begin negotiating the purchase of property from Stirling-Rawdon for the base.
Morton Engineering has been hired to provide detailed design and project management services.
