OPP have laid charges after some complaints about a loud ATV in the Stirling area this past Tuesday morning.
Centre Hastings officers tracked the rider down around 7:35 a.m. and laid charges of driving without a licence, driving without proper insurance and speeding.
Police say they’ve had multiple complaints about ATV’s in the Stirling-Rawdon area lately and are doing their best to focus patrols and enforcement.
They’ve also put out some reminders to ATV riders including that you must have a valid driver’s licence of G2, M2 or higher to ride an ATV.
You also have to wear a motorcycle helmet with a securely fastened chin strap, you cannot have passengers on your vehicle and you must drive less than the posted speed limit.
No names were released in connection to these charges.
