Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting six new cases of COVID-19 today and a second active outbreak.
There have been six recoveries since the health unit’s last report on Friday, leaving 24 active cases.
The new outbreak is connected to a workplace in Prince Edward County.
Two cases have been confirmed so far.
There are still eight cases stemming from an outbreak related to a private party on Hearns Road in Frankford.
Eighty-two per cent of Hastings and Prince Edward residents age 12 and over have received at least one dose of a COVID vaccine while 68 per cent are now fully vaccinated.
Over the last seven days, 722 people received their first shot and almost 2,700 got their second.
In Northumberland County no new cases were reported. Three infections remain active there.
