Belleville fire fighters responded to a boat on fire and taking water, off the shore of the Herchimer Boat Launch Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters confirmed that there were five people on the boat and that it was smoking and taking on water.
The fire on the boat has been extinguished.
A Belleville fire rescue boat was sent out to retrieve the boaters. There are no reported injuries.
Hastings Quinte Paramedics are also on scene to assess the boaters upon their return to shore.
