Two local insurance companies have merged.
CEO Ross McDougall announced Monday that they have merged with Burr Insurance of Belleville.
All Burr employees will remain with the organization and their branch office will be merged into the McDougall office in Belleville.
McDougall Insurance and Financial now has 40 offices in Eastern Ontario, Central Ontario and the Ottawa Valley, employing 450 people.
Burr Insurance has been providing personal, business and farm insurance to the Quinte region for 93 years.
President Jim Burr is remaining with the newly merged organization.
