A man was lucky to have escaped serious injury after allegedly being assaulted Monday night at an east end Belleville condominium complex.
City police were called shortly after 10 o’clock and were told by a man that he’d been yelled at and punched and kicked by two young males earlier.
Following that, the victim said a man turned up at his door and threatened him with an edged weapon.
Belleville police located three suspects and arrested them. All three are from Belleville.
A 37-year-old man was charged with assault with a weapon, uttering a death threat, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and resist peace officer.
A 13-year-old male was charged with assault and a 14-year-old male was charged with assault and uttering a death threat.
All three have July court dates but the teens will appear in Youth Court.
