A new independent seniors living community is being proposed for the southeast corner of Highways 62 and 7 in Centre Hastings.
Nautical Lands Group is hoping to build 96 rental townhouses, walkways, internal roads, and a community clubhouse on the eight-hectare property.
The attached townhouses would vary in size and would be ground level only.
The development would be known as Wellings of Madoc.
The company has several seniors developments in its inventory including Wellings of Picton.
An initial public meeting on applications for Official Plan and zoning by-law amendments is scheduled for Wednesday in Centre Hastings. No decision on the applications will be made at the meeting.
