Firefighters are battling a large mulch fire on the west side of Quinte West.
Crews from three Quinte West stations and Brighton are dealing with the flames at a site on Highway 2, west of Wooler Road.
Quinte News has learned that multiple giant piles of ecomulch are ablaze, but there’s no word on what sparked the fire.
Quinte West OPP have been called in to help with traffic control, with cars getting through slowly, but it’s probably better to avoid the area if you can.
No other details were immediately available.
