Al Fresco is coming back to Belleville’s Downtown District for a second season.
The hugely successful event, which was piloted last summer, is designed to allow visitors to support and encourage downtown businesses while staying safe during the pandemic.
Downtown sidewalks and select parking spaces will be transformed into seating and safe gathering spaces, while parklets painted by local authors will once again be in place in front of some restaurants, allowing them to extend their patios.
Al Fresco is slated to start in June, pending the end of the current lockdown and continue through July and August.
Front Street will be reduced to one lane between Bridge Street and Victoria Avenue, tentatively starting June 3.
On the heels of last year’s Prismatica display, this year Al Fresco will feature five unique interactive LED installations.
