Brighton council might be ready to pull the trigger on the Sunday gun hunting issue at its meeting Monday night
Public input, for and against, has been ongoing recently and council will vote on a recommendation to allow gun hunting on Sundays but not allowing firearms to be discharged within 200 metres of land zoned Shoreline Residential.
Sunday gun hunting has been discussed by various Brighton councils since 2005 but has never been allowed. It is the only municipality in Eastern Ontario that does not allow Sunday gun hunting.
