April was a productive month for building permits in Prince Edward County.
There were 89 permits issued for a total construction value of $15,636,850.
This marks a sharp increase from April 2020 when there were 27 permits issued for a total construction value of $4,053,573.
The bulk of the construction value for last month came from 15 permits issued for new houses for a whopping total value of $11,603,000. There were also eight permits issued for renovations which are valued at $1,230,000.
This year so far in the county there have been 275 permits issued for a total construction value of $36,213,171.
By this time last year there were 158 permits issued for a total value of $21,134,797 which marks a difference of $15,078,374 from 2020 to 2021.
