March building activity was down in Belleville compared to the same month last year.
The city issued 52 permits last month, with a construction value of more than $4.5 million, compared to 71 permits in March 2020, valued at more than $7.2 million.
The majority of the permits issued last month were for residential modifications, with seven permits issued for new home builds.
To date this year, Belleville has issued 140 permits, worth more than $15.6 million.
