Media reports indicate the provincial government is poised to announce a provincewide stay at home order.
According to a CBC report, sources say the stay-at-home order would take effect just after midnight Thursday and last up to four weeks.
The order would close all non-essential retail stores. Such businesses could still offer curbside pick-up.
Only stores deemed as essential, such as grocery stores and pharmacies, would remain open and big box stores would only be permitted to sell groceries and pharmacy items.
The report says it’s not expected Premier Doug Ford will order schools closed.
